Impact

On 16 January 2026 at 16:50 GMT, customers experienced a brief recurrence of intermittent search failures on the Searches API. This was a continuation of the incident that began earlier that day at 13:05 GMT.

Cause & Resolution

This issue shared the same root cause as the earlier incident on 16 January 2026. Please refer to that post mortem for full details.

Following additional tuning at 17:35 GMT, the service stabilised and no further issues were observed. We continued monitoring throughout the weekend with no recurrence.
